Green Tea White Chocolate Brownies

I’m still on a matcha kick.

Even after baking these brownies.

But, these will do for now.

Green Tea White Chocolate Brownies

recipe adapted from Glazed & Confused

Nice blog Graham!

I didn’t have enough white chocolate on hand to mimic his version precisely, so I topped mine with some slices almonds instead.

This is me (and my finger) melting some butter and white chocolate on the stove top.

Whisking together gently

Nice smooth consistency.

When batter is mixed thoroughly, add to a greased and floured baking pan

(All I had was my 9-inch round cake pan, where did all my square pans go???)

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease and flour a 9 x 9 baking dish. (mine was a round cake pan) Over a double broiler, melt butter and white chocolate and whisk until combined. Mix in sugar and matcha powder. Add the eggs and vanilla. Slowly tempering the eggs first, then mixing back into the batter. Whisk in the flour until just combined. Pour into prepared pan. Top with sliced almonds, optional. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the brownies comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing.
